Linkage of 1999–2012 National Health Interview Survey and National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey Data to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Administrative Records

The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) provides statistical information to guide actions and policy to improve the health of the American people. Through a collaborative interagency agreement between NCHS and HUD, data on participants in the 1999–2012 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) and the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were linked to administrative data from HUD. This report describes and evaluates the data linkage of these two national health surveys, which were administered by NCHS, to records from HUD through 2014
